Heat Pump Installation Danvers, MA

Bosch Heat Pump Installation in Danvers, Massachusetts

The Martin family had recently renovated their Danvers, MA home. After their renovation, they noticed their kitchen wasn’t nearly as comfortable as the rest of their home. The extreme temperatures in New England would make any room that is not heated or cooled properly very uncomfortable.

The Martin’s called Townsend Energy to discuss the best way to ensure their newly renovated kitchen would be as comfortable as the rest of their home. We advised the Martin family to have a Bosch heat-pump with ductwork installed in their Danvers, MA home.

Problem: The Martin’s open kitchen was uncomfortable after remodeling the inside of their home.

Solution: We installed a Bosch heat-pump, air-handler unit, and necessary ductwork in their Danvers home.

Heat Pump Upgrade in Danvers, Massachusetts

Having a properly installed heating and cooling system is essential for any home or business in New England. In the case of the Martin family, we installed a Bosch Heat Pump IDS 2.0 heating and air conditioning system with necessary ductwork.

As part of this Danvers, MA inverter ducted split system installation, we used the following materials: Bosch 5 ton heat pump Bova-60 series 2.0 to be placed outside of the home on a preformed concrete pad, a Bosch 5 ton multi variable speed air handler (model (978) 717-0490) installed in the attic with a secondary drain pan, and ceiling saver switch.

The new system will be using R410a refrigerant, as well as computerized load calculations of the home, complete new insulated and sealed ductwork system for additional zones, all trunk duct to be hard piped, all supply runs to be flex duct as the existing system is, new 8″ supply drop down to kitchen area for proper cooling, new duct to run exposed thru bedroom closet down to the kitchen ceiling, new zone dampers installed in the existing trunk and new trunk, zone first control panel with bypass eliminator.

As part of this same project, we installed two new Ecobee WiFi thermostats (one for each zone of cooling and heating), an insulated refrigeration line set to be run from air handler to condenser, along the outside of the home. We also installed all necessary wiring of new equipment and zoning, complete refrigerant charge, and miscellaneous parts and fittings for this project.

Bosch has been a leader in the Thermo technology industry since its start in 1886. They are known for their high-quality heating and comfort systems built in the USA. Their products are manufactured with rigorous standards and factory testing to ensure high-efficiency operation over the life of their systems.

The innovative Bosch air-source heat pump system utilizes maximum efficiencies to achieve ultimate comfort while keeping noise levels to a minimum.

Bosch IDS 2.0 High-Efficiency Outdoor Condensing Unit

Intuitive and intelligent control features assist in adjusting the output capacity. This control allows the unit to set temperatures at your preferred levels without it fluctuating. It will also help keep humidity levels down during the summer season. No matter if it’s summer or winter, the unit keeps your home comfortable and allows your climate temperatures set to your desired taste.

The outdoor condenser allows for all conditions to optimize the unit’s process to the highest efficiencies possible. An electronic expansion valve comes standard with the condensing units to ensure proper refrigerant flow for a smoother operation.

Bosch IDS 2.0 Indoor Air Handler

This unit accommodates additional heat on-demand when you need it most by combining next-gen technology with a durable, long-lasting design. The features of this indoor unit are:

  • All-Aluminum Coil – the all-aluminum coils are durable and allow for excellent efficiency, heat transfer, and humidity removal. It also has a much lower chance of refrigerant leaking compared to standard copper coils.
  • Two-stage ECM Motor – Indoor blower motor goes down and up to provide enhanced humidity control, energy savings, and superior comfort.
  • Foil-faced Insulation – insulated inner walls help to decrease energy loss and virtually eliminates condensation.
  • Painted Galvanized Steel Cabinet – salt spray tested for maximum corrosion resistance and durability.

Air To Air Heat Pump Installation in Danvers, MA

No matter the type of system installed in your home, a heat pump can supplement the heating or cooling in specific rooms that are uncomfortable. In the Martin family’s home, they already had an HVAC system installed and needed to supplement the heating and cooling for their kitchen.

Heat pumps allow for both the cooling and heating of any home or business by pulling the heat out of the air in winter and pushing is through refrigerant to warm the home. Alternatively, in the summer, the same system will pull cool air from the outside air and push it through refrigerant to cool your home.

If you or any of your friends or family are in need of an efficient way to both cool and heat your home, a heat pump is a great solution. Call the professionals at Townsend Energy to schedule a complimentary, in-home consultation with one of our heat pump experts.
